This Shipping & Delivery Policy explains how delivery works when you order from Fitz Furnitures.

We currently deliver to selected areas within Ireland.

Delivery availability, cost, and estimated delivery time may depend on:

  • Your delivery address
  • Product size and weight
  • Stock availability
  • Delivery route availability
  • Whether assembly is required

If we cannot deliver to your address, we will contact you before processing the order further.


3. Delivery Timeframes

Delivery timeframes depend on whether the item is in stock or available for pre-order.

In-Stock Items

For items already available in our warehouse, delivery will usually be arranged within:

5–10 working days, subject to availability and delivery scheduling.

Pre-Order Items

Some items may be sold before arriving into our warehouse.

For pre-order items, the estimated delivery timeframe will be shown on the product page or communicated before purchase.

Estimated delivery dates are not guaranteed and may change due to:

  • Shipping delays
  • Customs clearance
  • Supplier delays
  • Port delays
  • Weather or transport disruption
  • Warehouse processing time

We will keep customers updated if there are significant changes.


4. Delivery Charges

Delivery charges will be shown at checkout or confirmed before the order is completed.

Delivery charges may vary depending on:

  • Order value
  • Delivery access
  • Assembly requirements
  • Distance from our delivery base

Where delivery is included in the product price or promotion, this will be clearly stated.


5. Delivery Arrangements

Once your order is ready, we will contact you to arrange a suitable delivery date.

Customers must ensure:

  • Someone is available to receive the delivery
  • The delivery address and phone number are correct
  • Access is safe and suitable
  • Parking/loading access is available where possible
  • The item will fit through doors, hallways, staircases, lifts, and into the intended room

If delivery cannot be completed due to incorrect information, no access, nobody being available, or the item not fitting into the property, a redelivery or cancellation charge may apply.


6. Large Item Delivery

Furniture deliveries may require extra space, safe access, and reasonable preparation before arrival.

Before delivery, customers should:

  • Measure doorways, hallways, stairs, lifts, and room access
  • Clear the delivery route
  • Remove fragile or obstructing items
  • Secure pets where necessary
  • Inform us in advance of access issues

If an item cannot be delivered safely, we may refuse to complete the delivery.


7. Assembly

Assembly may be available for selected items or orders.

Assembly must be agreed before delivery and may involve an additional charge.

Assembly does not include:

  • Removing old furniture
  • Moving unrelated items
  • Wall mounting unless agreed
  • Electrical or plumbing work
  • Disposal of packaging unless agreed
  • Disposal of old furniture unless agreed

8. Missed Deliveries

If a delivery is missed because nobody is available, access is not possible, or incorrect details were provided, we may charge for redelivery.

If you need to change your delivery appointment, please contact us as early as possible.


9. Checking Items on Delivery

Please check your items on delivery where possible.

If there is visible damage, missing parts, or an issue with the order, contact us as soon as possible, preferably within 48 hours of delivery.

Please include:

  • Order number
  • Photos or videos of the issue
  • Short description of the problem

Reporting an issue after 48 hours does not affect your statutory consumer rights.


10. Damaged or Faulty Items

If an item arrives damaged, faulty, or not as described, we will review the issue and offer the appropriate solution.

This may include:

  • Repair
  • Replacement
  • Refund
  • Replacement parts
  • Collection of the item where required

This does not affect your statutory consumer rights.


11. Returns and Delivery Charges

For most online purchases, customers have the right to cancel their order within 14 days from the day they receive the goods.

After cancelling, customers then have 14 days to return the goods.

For change-of-mind returns:

  • The customer must inform us in writing within the cancellation period
  • The item must be returned unused and in resaleable condition
  • The item should be returned in original packaging where possible
  • The customer is responsible for return delivery costs unless the item is faulty, damaged, or incorrectly supplied
  • Original standard delivery charges will be handled in line with applicable consumer law

12. Delays Outside Our Control

We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control, including:

  • Shipping delays
  • Customs delays
  • Supplier delays
  • Port congestion
  • Weather disruption
  • Road closures
  • Vehicle breakdown
  • Labour disruption
  • Incorrect customer details

If a delay occurs, we will provide updates where possible.
